About the role

As an Onsite IT Support Technician, you'll play a crucial role in resolving technical issues, installing and configuring hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems on-site. Utilizing your technical expertise, you'll provide first-level technical information systems support to the university community, resolving routine technical problems, and ensuring seamless operation of IT initiatives.

What you’ll do
  • Provide desk-side support for hardware and software issues, including PCs and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT systems and applications.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and networks on-site.
  • Collaborate with the IT Voice technical support team to elevate and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
  • Adhere to IT Voice's core values of Focus on others, own it, work smart, and do the right thing.
Qualifications
  • High School degree or equivalency required.
  • Approved to work in the US with a valid driver's license.
  • Basic PC and peripheral experience required.
  • Familiarity with MS365 is favorable.
  • Punctual, courteous, and professional demeanor required.
  • 1-2 years of support experience and willingness to learn are favorable.
  • Dependable transportation to the customer site is required.
  • Must be located in the Cleveland, OH area due to the onsite engagement.
  • Ability to get stuff done; the team values high productivity.
  • Passion for technology.
  • Heart to always do the right thing and admit mistakes.
  • Good communication skills; willing to give and receive constructive feedback.
Additional Information
  • Dedicated 5-day-a-week resource, 8 hours per day during regular business hours with a 1-hour lunch, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon.
  • 4 days onsite: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Central Time Zone.
  • 1 day remote: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Central Time Zone.
  • Position reports to the Director of IT of the IT Voice customer, but will be part of the IT Voice technical support team.
  • Minimum of 3 days on the customer site and potentially 5 days per week.
  • Must have dependable transportation to the customer site.
