Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in Dayton/Beavercreek, OH, is seeking an IT Support / Help Desk professional to provide courteous, professional user support and to coordinate computing resources. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and is 100% onsite.

The candidate will mentor teammates, manage desktops and server environments, and ensure timely responses per internal procedures while maintaining system performance and security across Windows-based platforms.

Qualifications

• US citizen able to obtain security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in PC Support/Help Desk, or 7 years without degree
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Hyper‑V, Microsoft 365, Windows Domain architecture, IT security, firewalls; Linux a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional support to users and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate setting up of computing resources and installation of required software
• Mentor other members of the team as needed
• Efficient timely, and effective response to internal user requests for support/troubleshooting while adhering to internal operating procedures
• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user/multi-platform computer systems for desktops and server environment
• Monitor and manage system resources (CPU, disk usage, response times)
