Job summary

Actalent is seeking a customer‑oriented Junior Support Specialist to provide hands-on IT support for employees across office and manufacturing environments in Portland, OR. The role involves deploying devices, troubleshooting hardware/software, and ensuring secure connectivity with VPN/Wi‑Fi.

You will work closely with senior staff, travel to production floors, and follow safety protocols while handling IT equipment and inventory in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing technical experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work onsite in manufacturing environments.
• Basic PC hardware and mobile device knowledge.
• Ability to follow safety protocols in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for team members.
• Provide hands-on, on-site IT support in office and manufacturing areas.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, VPN, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, Wi-Fi, and device settings.
• Escalate complex issues through the service desk with proper documentation.
• Manage IT equipment inventory, deployment, returns, and disposal.
