Opti Staffing is partnering with a manufacturing company to hire an IT Support Specialist in Portland, OR. This 6-month contract role involves resolving employee technical issues, setting up new workstations, and supporting IT projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will join an established IT team as the third member, handling help desk tickets, onboarding, and system improvements, with a Monday–Friday day shift and $25 per hour.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of IT Help Desk or technical support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with computers, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Experience setting up computers, user accounts, and employee workstations.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and user access permissions.

Aufgaben

• Manage and prioritize incoming Help Desk tickets, responding to employee technical issues in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and operating system problems.
• Set up, configure, and deploy computers, laptops, and other IT equipment.
• Support new employee onboarding, including computer setup, keycards, user accounts, and access permissions.
• Monitor and verify system backups to help ensure company data is protected.
• Assist with hardware and software installations, upgrades, and updates.
• Support IT projects involving cabling, equipment replacement, and system improvements.
