Job summary

Vermeer Midwest in Goodfield, IL is seeking a motivated IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary onsite IT resource for the Goodfield location, supporting teammates across multiple sites. This role focuses on keeping systems secure, reliable, and user-friendly while delivering exceptional service.

You'll troubleshoot, manage Windows workstations, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity initiatives, and enterprise apps, with travel to other Central Illinois sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of IT experience in a professional setting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, and endpoint management.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN).
• Understanding cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Able to travel and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 IT support for multi-location staff.
• Troubleshoot issues with PCs, printers, mobile devices, and software.
• Configure and maintain Windows workstations and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and device provisioning.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives and security standards.
• Maintain documentation of systems and procedures.
• Participate in IT projects involving cloud and enterprise apps.
• Train users on best practices and new deployments.
• Support enterprise apps like Salesforce and IntelliDealer.
• Escalate complex issues while owning communication.
• Travel to other Central Illinois locations as needed.
