Job summary

Milliman is seeking an IT Support Intern for the Brookfield, WI office. The role focuses on hands-on hardware/software support, ticket handling, and collaboration with a professional services team. Onsite work during Central Time business hours is required for the 2026-27 school year.

Outstanding communication, willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude are essential. The internship offers exposure to imaging, AD, and AI-assisted IT operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree.
• Some experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft software solution technologies, as well as hardware.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and O365 environment.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, GitHub) in projects.
• Interest in AI technologies and their application in IT operations, support, and automation.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently, while collaborating with a team.
• Organized, positive problem-solver with strong communication.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests.
• Able to install/relocate equipment and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond swiftly to incoming tickets and ad hoc requests from local and remote users.
• Resolve technical issues in a timely manner and research incidents with attention to detail.
• Prioritize tickets by urgency using available information.
• Create, update, and review technical process documentation.
• Contribute to IT knowledge base.
• Solve technical problems and complete auditing tasks.
• Physically install and configure new hardware/software/systems.
• Complete hardware refresh workflows.
• Provide A/V support for in-office meetings.
• Communicate clearly and kindly to end-users.
• Follow internal approval procedures.
• Provide orientation for new software and equipment.
