Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide end-user computing support onsite in Bentonville, AR. You will handle desktop support, imaging, asset lifecycle, inventory, and SNOW ticket management, ensuring timely resolution for Windows-based environments.

You will collaborate with internal technology teams and vendors, maintain asset records, and assist with network connectivity troubleshooting. Strong Windows knowledge and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop support, and endpoint troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Windows OS imaging, deployment, and device provisioning processes.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printer, and peripheral-related issues.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve end-user technical issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with IT ticket management and service request handling processes.
• Knowledge of asset inventory management and asset lifecycle procedures.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with users, vendors, and technical support teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote end-user support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and Windows-based systems, ensuring timely resolution of hardware and software issues.
• Perform laptop imaging, device provisioning, software installation, and deployment activities to support new hires and replacement equipment.
• Manage and maintain desktop operating systems, hardware components, and user workstation setups to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with internal technology teams and vendors to troubleshoot, elevate, and resolve user incidents and service requests through to closure.
• Administer IT asset lifecycle activities including receiving, allocation, recovery, tracking, inventory maintenance, and audit support.
• Support workplace infrastructure by maintaining hub/IT rooms, performing network cable patching, and assisting with basic endpoint network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Manage and close ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets within defined service levels, maintain accurate documentation, generate operational reports, and provide Microsoft Outlook configuration and troubleshooting support.
