Job summary

Simmons Prepared Foods Inc in Gentry, AR is seeking an onsite IT Support Technician to ensure smooth computer operations and end-user support across the organization. You will manage desktop hardware, software deployments, and backups while coordinating with IS staff.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
A+ or MCP certifications are a plus.
2 years experience in a related field preferred.
Knowledge of basic computer hardware, Microsoft Office, ERP systems and Help Desk Systems.

Responsibilities

Provide end user technical support and track internal customer support; assist users in solving problems.
Install software and deploy equipment to designated staff; follow setup procedures for software and security needs.
Support VMware; assist System Administrators with basic troubleshooting.
Assist in office relocations and coordinate installation of technology components.
Perform daily and monthly backups; verify backups are complete and recoverable.
Set up new users on phones; support networking and server maintenance; escalate issues when needed.
Keep up to date on desktop trends and participate in team activities and policy development.
