Job summary

BOOST LLC, a dynamic government-focused consulting firm, seeks a Junior IT Specialist to join the DSE team in support of DoD contracts at NAS Patuxent River, MD. You will assist with day-to-day IT operations, security documentation, and compliance activities to keep systems aligned with cybersecurity requirements.

The role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on IT skills and a foundational understanding of CMMC concepts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in IT or related field.
• 1–2 years of IT support/helpdesk/systems administration.
• Basic understanding of Windows 10/11, Office 365, and AD environments.
• Familiar with CMMC Level 1 or NIST 800-171 and DoD cybersecurity principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support for Windows-based laptops and connectivity.
• Assist with user accounts, device configuration, and troubleshooting across Intune, Azure AD, and M365 Admin Center.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, patch logs, and change records.
• Support implementation of CMMC Level 2 practices and secure configuration management.
• Help update security documentation such as SSPs and POA&Ms.
• Collaborate to ensure system compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
