Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Mineral Point, WI seeks an IT Site Operations Support Tech to maintain and improve on-site IT systems. You will monitor servers, networks, and endpoints, resolve issues, and ensure production uptime across facilities in Mineral Point and nearby sites.

The role emphasizes Six Sigma-inspired process improvements, proactive support, and teamwork, with hands-on technical work and occasional travel to Stoughton and Janesville as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or relevant training preferred.
• This position may require licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations.
• Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge through specialized training and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support servers, network equipment, UPS systems, data closets, and client devices.
• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Windows PCs and servers.
• Use Tanium for endpoint management and patching.
• Use Macrium Reflect for imaging, backup, and system recovery.
• Support network infrastructure, including MDFs/IDFs, switch ports, cabling, and documentation.
• Coordinate and escort vendors performing onsite IT work.
• Work with plant personnel and IT teams to ensure Cummins IT standards and best practices are followed.
• Provide onsite support and travel between Mineral Point, Stoughton, and Janesville as needed.
