Job summary

Mentis Group is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join our MSP team in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This is not an entry‑level IT position; candidates should have at least 3 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure experience, with 2+ years delivering smaller projects on networks, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization and related hardware.

The role is primarily on client sites in the DFW metro area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in an infrastructure IT support role with hands-on experience.
• At least 2 years delivering smaller projects in collaboration with senior engineers.
• Experience across networking, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization and related hardware.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects solo or with others, potentially as Project Lead or junior support.
• Review scope with project resources and validate client infrastructure environments.
• Provide ad-hoc mentoring and ensure daily time entry and status reporting.
• Create and update technical documentation during and after projects.
• Identify opportunities for automation and assist with implementation when appropriate.
• Perform duties aligned with seniority and working knowledge.
