Job summary

CFS in Waukegan, IL is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to provide on-site and remote support for PCs, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware within a diverse technology environment.

You will troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, email, networking, VPN and connectivity issues, manage user accounts in Active Directory and M365, deploy new workstations, and support warehouse systems such as barcode scanners and shipping workstations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2+ years of IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support experience.
• Strong experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Active Directory.
• Experience with Azure AD, Intune, SCCM, or other endpoint management tools
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless networking, and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience working with ticketing systems and IT service processes.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments, preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote support for PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve help desk tickets involving Windows, Microsoft 365, email, networking, VPN, and connectivity issues.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access within Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Deploy and support new user workstations, hardware, and mobile devices.
• Support warehouse technology including barcode scanners, label printers, and shipping workstations.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and system updates.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff and third-party vendors as needed.
