Job summary

The Midtown Group is urgently seeking a dedicated IT Help Desk Technician to join our IT Infrastructure team in Virginia. This 100% onsite role serves as the first point of contact for employees, providing first‑level support for workstations, mobile devices, software, and network connectivity.

You will interact with staff at all levels, including executives, using AD, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365 tools to resolve issues, manage access, and document tickets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent customer-service orientation and professional communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory and identity/access management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for technical assistance and manage tickets.
• Provide desktop support for executives and staff for software and hardware issues.
• Support Windows workstations, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Administer user accounts using AD, Azure AD, and M365 tools.
• Record, prioritize, and update tickets in the help desk system.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues including VPN, DNS/DHCP.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and asset management.
• Follow IT security procedures to protect systems and data.
• Support IT for meetings rooms and conferencing equipment.
• Create and follow standard help desk procedures.
