Job summary

Orion Solutions in Reston, VA is seeking a full-time Tier 1-2 Windows Desktop and System Engineer to join a growing IT support team. The role involves on-site work at client locations (50-75%) and some work from the Reston office, supporting Microsoft OS, Microsoft 365, and related infrastructure.

You will configure devices, assist end users, manage tickets, and participate in backbone tasks like AD, DNS, DHCP, backups, and server support.

Qualifications

Minimum 4–5 years of Windows OS troubleshooting experience.
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking basics.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and remote collaboration tools.
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.

Responsibilities

Set up and configure laptops/workstations for new hires and onboard users.
Provide day-to-day end-user support for Windows OS and Microsoft 365 via on-site, remote, or phone channels.
Manage backend infrastructure tasks including servers, backups, emails, and databases as needed.
Conduct field visits to client sites for on-site and Tier 2 support.
Assist in provisioning and maintaining system hardware and software.
