Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. The Technical Support Specialist I role provides day-to-day operations and technical support to all users of MHC systems.

This position is fully in office 5 days a week in Leawood, KS. You will support PCs, networks, and vendor applications, document issues, and assist in project work while coordinating with senior staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Excellent Windows and Microsoft Office Skills.
• Should possess A+ or greater IT certification or degree
• Demonstrated understanding and technical proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Current Windows Environments

Responsibilities

• Provides initial support and assistance to all users of PCs, PC Networks and related peripheral devices.
• Provides initial support to users of vendor applications; analyzes problems and contacts vendors for support if necessary.
• Responsible for referring support issues to the Technical Support Specialist II or System Engineer when appropriate.
• Makes certain that each user receives timely and adequate support.
• Responsible for the setup & configuration of PC's, printers and other peripherals.
• Setup & configuration of approved software.
• Document all calls in the MHC Help Desk System.
• Manage projects and meet deadlines as assigned.
• Provide after-hours on-call support in rotation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
