Job summary

Astreya is seeking a hands-on Hardware Technician in New York to manage on-site deployment, break/fix repairs, and equipment refreshes. You will perform quick diagnostics, stage and image laptops/desktops, and ensure minimal downtime for high-volume client sites.

The role emphasizes speed, accuracy, and professional conduct in a demanding environment with overtime required. Relevant certifications are a plus, and you will coordinate with Tier 2 for non-hardware issues.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years hands-on hardware break/fix, deployment, or desktop support experience.
• Experience with Lenovo Dell laptops/desktops/monitors is preferred.
• Familiarity with PC imaging and deployment tools (PXE) and peripheral setup.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware swaps for laptops/desktops/monitors and hot swaps.
• Diagnose hardware-level failures and escalate non-hardware issues.
• Image, configure, and stage replacement machines for deployment.
• Manage asset records and RMAs with vendors.
• Log tickets and document hardware findings in the system.
• Support extended hours for urgent hardware escalations.
