Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking an IT Field Engineer for an onsite assignment in Freeland, MI. The role focuses on repairing laptops and desktops in the metro area as part of a global IT services provider.

You will perform hardware replacements (drives, motherboards, keyboards), PC imaging, data migration, and workstation deployments, with a requirement for reliable transportation to cover the service area. Must be able to close tickets in the client call management system using company tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
• Replace defective hardware components such as hard drives, SSDs, RAM, batteries, keyboards, and motherboards.
• Experience with PC imaging, data migration and workstation deployments.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair laptops and desktops in the metro area.
• Replace components and perform whole unit swaps as needed.
• Repair or replace PC peripherals.
• Must have reliable transportation to service the metro and surrounding areas.
• Close service tickets in real time in the Client Call Management system using company-provided phone.
