Job summary

FieldGuide IT is a people-first IT services provider serving clients across the US. We are seeking an IT Engineer to troubleshoot complex Mac and Windows issues, deploy and configure hardware and software, and keep client networks and AV systems running smoothly.

This role includes on-site support around the Denver/Boulder area and occasional travel. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of troubleshooting experience, a focus on service, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting or supporting complex products and technology or equivalent education
• You are passionate about service and helping people solve problems
• Comfortable with macOS and Windows
• Curious problem solver with a knack for troubleshooting non-working tech
• Strong written and verbal communication that translates technical issues for non-technical clients
• Team player who documents thoroughly and supports teammates
• You stay calm in stressful situations and practice secure access controls

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT support for Denver/Boulder clients, onsite and remote as needed
• Troubleshoot Mac and Windows issues beyond basic fixes; resolve domain, FileVault, BitLocker, OS upgrade, VPN, DNS problems
• Deploy and configure hardware and software, imaging devices, enrolling via MDM
• Maintain and upgrade client networks, servers, and conference room AV systems
• Document stack and processes to give teammates a clear roadmap
• Approach each request with a security-first mindset and appropriate access controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on client projects and fieldwork scheduling
• Occasionally travel to client sites; flexible, time-sensitive on-site support
