Job summary

The On‑Site Service Specialist at MSC Industrial Supply Co. will deliver exceptional customer service and manage inventory at large customer sites. You will support procurement, order placement, and the MSC ControlPoint Solutions including VMI, vending, and crib systems.

You will drive value through on‑site engagement, solution optimization, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining 6S standards and logging activities in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two years of experience in telephone sales, outside sales, storeroom/inventory management, or customer service.
• Knowledge of MSC solutions, products, and services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions, including VMI, vending, and storeroom programs.
• Perform ordering, product put-away, and inventory optimization.
• Log daily activities in Salesforce and maintain 6S standards.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure solution retention and satisfaction.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
