Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to process referrals, maximize revenue, and improve collections in an on-site Meridian, MS setting.

You will review patient files, handle medical billing, credentialing, and authorizations while collaborating with franchise partners to ensure timely reimbursements and accurate financial communication with patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; plus specialized training in intake, pharmacy/medical billing, or collections.
• Two years of Intake, Medical Billing, and/or Collections experience required.
• Two years of home infusion therapy experience required.
• Coding Course Certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness and accuracy; audit claims and submit primary/secondary billing to payers.
• Communicate with franchise partners and other departments on intake status.
• Document activity and follow-ups in the system to resolve outstanding claims.
• Investigate and verify benefits for pharmacy and medical third-party claims.
• Obtain prior authorizations; track responses and keep customers informed.
• Track and elevate service issues to avoid delays in therapy access.
• Explain therapy costs to patients before starting service.
• Contribute to training materials and procedures to improve RCM team efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
