Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services, a leading infusion provider, seeks an experienced Billing Specialist to optimize referrals, credentials, and contract applications. This on-site role in Meridian, MS emphasizes accuracy, timely billing, and collaboration across franchises to improve revenue cycle performance.

Key duties include auditing claims, obtaining authorizations, and educating patients on therapy costs while supporting the RCM team with process improvements and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with billing/collections training.
• At least two years in Intake, Medical Billing, and/or Collections.
• Two years in home infusion therapy is required.
• Coding Course Certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness and accuracy and bill primary and secondary charges.
• Submit claims to payers and manage paper and electronic submittals to reduce denials.
• Coordinate with franchise partners and other departments on order intake status.
• Document activity in the system to ensure complete account records and timely follow-ups.
• Obtain and follow up on prior authorizations; track responses from payers and inform customers.
• Identify and escalate issues delaying service to maintain patient access to therapy.
• Explain therapy costs to patients before service initiation and manage financial discussions.
• Contribute to training materials and processes for the Revenue Cycle Management team.
