Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services seeks a full-time Billing Intake Specialist for our Meridian, MS site. You will review patient files, audit claims, and submit billing to payers while identifying opportunities to improve revenue and reduce denials.

You will communicate with franchise partners and internal departments, obtain prior authorizations, and maintain clear documentation. This role requires two years in intake/medical billing and infusion experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with billing training in intake, pharmacy/medical billing, and/or collections.
• Two years' Intake, Medical Billing, and/or Collections experience required.
• Two years of home infusion therapy is required.
• Coding Course Certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness and accuracy; audit claims and identify revenue opportunities.
• Submit primary and secondary billing to payers for reimbursement via paper and clearinghouse.
• Communicate with franchise partners and other departments regarding order intake status.
• Obtain prior authorizations; follow up with payers and patients to keep them informed.
• Document activity in the system and schedule required follow-ups.
