Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services is seeking a Billing Specialist to process referrals, ensure accuracy, and minimize denials. The role focuses on timely billing, credentialing, and contract applications, onsite in Meridian, MS.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in intake/medical billing/collections, 2 years in home infusion, and strong MS Office/pharmacy software skills. This full-time, on-site position offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant billing training.
• 2 years of intake, medical billing, and/or collections experience required.
• 2 years of home infusion therapy experience required.
• Coding course certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness and accuracy, identify and audit claims; submit primary/secondary billing to payers.
• Communicate with franchise partners and VCI departments on order intake status.
• Document activity in the system, schedule required follow-ups.
• Investigate and verify benefits for pharmacy and medical third-party claims.
• Obtain prior authorizations and follow up with carriers; keep customers informed.
• Track and elevate service issues to prevent delays in therapy access.
• Explain therapy costs to patients before service starts.
• Contribute to design of training materials and process improvements for RCM.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
