Job summary

Kempsville Building Materials (a division of Carter Lumber) seeks an Installed Sales Project Supervisor to oversee installations, repairs and remodeling work by installers and subcontractors. Strong customer service focus and knowledge of building materials, codes and best practices are essential.

Responsibilities include coordinating services, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring timely, quality installations with safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous project management or on-site experience in building materials/construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and process improvements.
• Ability to solve problems using strong judgment and analysis.
• Strong math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates installed services.
• Analyzes job site with subcontractor prior to beginning of a job.
• Interprets plan to ensure quality installation.
• Oversees subcontractors to maintain schedules and timely completion.
• Provides project status and communicates issues to Installed Sales Manager.
• Estimates material take-off for project.
• Ensures materials are ordered and available for timely completion.
• Direct installers/contractors per regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure installers/contractors have necessary training for safe installation.
• Ensure OSHA standards are followed and safety inspections are conducted.
