Kempsville Building Materials (a division of Carter Lumber) Installed Sales Project Supervisor oversees installations, repairs and remodeling work performed by installers, both employees and subcontractors. Knowledge of building materials, local building codes and proper installation techniques are vital to success in this role, along with a strong commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management or on-site construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and process improvements.
• Ability to solve problems by analyzing, troubleshooting and evaluating issues.
• Solid math skills for estimating and measurements.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates installed services.
• Analyzes job site with subcontractor prior to beginning of a job.
• Interprets plan to ensure quality installation.
• Oversees subcontractors work, maintains schedules and timely completion.
• Provides status of projects and communicates issues to Installed Sales Manager.
• Estimates material take-off for projects.
• Ensures materials are ordered and available for timely completion.
• Directs installers/contractors to meet regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
