Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring an Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician III for our Indianapolis, IN facility. 2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm M-F. Base rate: $30/hr with $1/hr shift premium.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electromechanical production equipment including mail sorters and printers. Required 2–6 years of direct experience with industrial machinery; PLC systems experience; ability to read schematics and operate Windows-based equipment.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial equipment.
• Experience using a multi-meter or other electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other industrial equipment (Mail Sorters/ Printers).
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belts, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, and relays.
• Complete preventive maintenance according to industry quality standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergencies.
• Utilize inventory, PM schedules, and work orders to reduce downtime.
• Maintain spare parts/supply inventory using appropriate systems.
• Track work and downtime with a tablet.
• Perform additional duties as required.
