Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Reading, PA is hiring an Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician, 3rd Shift. The role offers $28.25/hour with a $2.50/hour shift premium and a schedule Tue-Sat 10:15 PM–6:45 AM EST.

You will perform mechanical/electronic repairs on printers and mail sorting equipment, complete preventive maintenance, and respond to breakdowns with urgency. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical equipment, at least 1 year of break/fix mechanical experience preferred.
Trades coursework in electronics or mechanics is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to automated equipment is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadline pressures.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including printer and mail sorting equipment.
Complete preventative maintenance according to Mail Preparation Total Quality Management and vendor standards.
Respond to equipment breakdowns with urgency and expediency.
Utilize inventory, PM schedule and work order systems; maintain spare parts inventory.
Evaluate and repair equipment problems in a timely manner.
