Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks an Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical components across plant equipment at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility in Hopkins, South Carolina. This 100% onsite role reports to the E&I Team Manager and demands strong safety and code knowledge.

Responsibilities include PLCs, relays, motor control, preventive maintenance and schematic interpretation.

Qualifications

Must have Industrial Electrical Experience.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
At least 1 year of Maintenance/Industrial Electrician experience.
Knowledge of electrical control systems and relay-based systems.
Satisfactory performance in current position.
Know and apply local and national electrical code.
Certificate or associate degree from Industrial Electricity Program.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair solid-state, relay-based, and air logic control systems.
Install and repair switches, boxes, wires, control panels, motors, generators and controllers.
Install, maintain and troubleshoot PLCs and equipment control systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
Diagnose equipment trouble and make necessary repairs.
Install and repair electrical distribution systems.
Read and update electrical schematics.
Know and apply local and national electrical code.
Maintain equipment and leave work area clean.
