Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Hopkins, South Carolina, seeks an Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and controls of plant equipment and facilities. This onsite role reports to the E&I Team Manager at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility in Hopkins, SC.

The job requires industrial electrical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and 1+ year of maintenance/industrial electrician experience, with knowledge of local and national electrical

• Must have Industrial Electrical Experience.
• Minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year Maintenance/Industrial Electrician experience required.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical control systems and relay-based systems acquired either through appropriate course work or equivalent work experience.
• Satisfactory performance in present position.
• Know and apply local and national electrical code.
• Certificate or associates degree from Industrial Electricity Program.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair solid state, relay-based, and air logic control systems.
• Install and repair switches, junction boxes, wire, control panels, multiple AC & DC motors, generators, and controllers.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and multiple equipment control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical systems.
• Diagnose equipment trouble and make necessary repairs.
• Install and repair electrical distribution systems.
• Read and update electrical schematics.
• Know and apply local and national electrical code.
• Maintain equipment and leave work area in a clean condition.
• Follow accountability, criticality, safety, security and hygiene procedures.
• Perform traceability function.

About the role:

As an Electrician you will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and controls of plant equipment, machinery and facilities.

You will report to the E&I Team Manager and be located at the Westinghouse Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility, located in Hopkins, South Carolina. You will support this role 100% onsite.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $33.30 per hour.
