Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and controls of plant equipment and facilities at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility in Hopkins, South Carolina. This 100% onsite role reports to the E&I Team Manager and requires hands-on experience with electrical control systems and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have Industrial Electrical Experience.
• Minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year Maintenance/Industrial Electrician experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical control systems and relay-based systems.
• Knowledge of local and national electrical code.
• Certificate or associate degree from Industrial Electricity Program.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair solid state, relay-based, and air logic control systems.
• Install and repair switches, junction boxes, wire, control panels, motors, generators and controllers.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot PLCs and equipment control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose equipment trouble and perform repairs.
• Read and update electrical schematics and follow local and national codes.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety procedures.
• Perform traceability functions.
