Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks an Industrial Electrician for our Hopkins, SC facility to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components and controls on plant equipment and facilities. You will work 100% onsite, reporting to the E&I Team Manager and ensuring safe, compliant operation.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical control systems, PLCs, and adherence to local and national electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical experience required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Certificate or associate degree from an Industrial Electricity Program.
• Ability to read and apply local and national electrical codes.
• 1 year minimum maintenance/industrial electrician experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair solid state, relay-based, and air logic control systems.
• Install and repair switches, junction boxes, wire, control panels, motors, generators, and controllers.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot PLCs and equipment control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose equipment trouble and make necessary repairs.
• Read and update electrical schematics and ensure compliance with codes.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety and hygiene procedures.
• Perform traceability and accountability duties.
