Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components of plant equipment and facilities. This role is located 100% onsite at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility in Hopkins, SC.

You will report to the E&I Team Manager and work with diverse teams to ensure safe, reliable operation of electrical systems, read schematics, and comply with local and national electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Must have Industrial Electrical Experience.
• Minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year Maintenance/Industrial Electrician experience required.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical control systems and relay-based systems through coursework or experience.
• Satisfactory performance in present position.
• Know and apply local and national electrical code.
• Certificate or associates degree from Industrial Electricity Program.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair solid state, relay-based, and air logic control systems.
• Install and repair switches, junction boxes, wire, control panels, multiple AC & DC motors, generators, and controllers.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and multiple equipment control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical systems.
• Diagnose equipment trouble and make necessary repairs.
• Install and repair electrical distribution systems.
• Read and update electrical schematics.
• Know and apply local and national electrical code.
• Maintain equipment and leave work area in a clean condition.
• Follow accountability, criticality, safety, security and hygiene procedures.
• Perform traceability function.

About The Role

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $32.00 to $41.00 per hour.
