Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Site Supervisor to manage onsite construction activities for medium to large HVAC controls projects in North America. You will coordinate with subcontractors, commissioning agents, and site personnel to ensure scope, schedule, quality, and customer expectations are met from installation through completion.

The role requires 5–7 years of construction management experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of BAS, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of construction management experience.
• Experience coordinating contractor commitments for cost, quality and schedule.
• Strong understanding of project scope and customer expectations.
• Working knowledge of BAS controls, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of commercial/contractual complexity and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of supply chain disciplines and field coordination practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to persuade, negotiate, and influence.
• Coordinate field activities and maintain clear project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the critical path to support timely completion.
• Program and assist with troubleshooting to keep work progressing.
• Perform quality control duties onsite.
• Communicate with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs and submittals.
• Ensure subcontractors fully execute their contracted scope of work.
• Interface with site personnel to ensure conformance to site standards.
• Coordinate commissioning and validation activities on-site with commissioning agents and site engineers.
• Schedule commissioning with the Validation Engineering Team.
• Review test documents, software, and graphics for accuracy.
• Identify non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Maintain a daily log of jobsite activities and progress.
• Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work.
• Issue notices of non-compliance related to quality or scheduling.
• Ensure deficiencies are corrected.
• Walk the project daily to monitor activities and plan ahead.
