Qualifications

• Technical associate degree with two years field experience, or four years equivalent related field experience in the HVAC industry.
• Hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned control systems projects from planning through completion and closeout.
• Perform hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout tasks.
• Manage project costs, billings, collections, and monthly cost updates for profitability.
• Coordinate with customers to communicate through all phases and pursue change orders when needed.
• Provide direction to subcontractors, installers, technicians, designers, and admin staff as needed.
• Coordinate material selection, ordering, delivery schedules, and vendor pricing.
• Ensure installation aligns with Johnson Controls literature and project requirements.
• Validate system loading, device verification, and complete system functionality.
• Resolve commissioning issues with subcontractors to keep work moving smoothly.
• Deliver as-built, commissioning, billing, warranty, training, and closeout documentation.
