Job summary

Akkodis, Inc. is hiring an on-site Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security Manager for our Riverside, CA facility. This sole contributor role reports to the Sr.

Plant Manager and focuses on driving a strong safety culture within a medical device setting. Qualified candidates have 3+ years in HSES program management, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation. Qualifications

• 3+ years of health and safety management in a regulated environment (medical devices, pharma, or aerospace).
• Experience leading health and safety programs and driving improvements.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements including permitting and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with shop floor engagement.
• Certifications in Industrial Hygiene (CIH) and/or Safety (CSP) are a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA recording practices is a plus.
• Experience with cleanroom manufacturing and ISO 13485 regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and manages HSES programs for the site.
• Sets strategy and collaborates with regional HSES partners.
• Investigates incidents and near misses and conducts training.
• Analyzes safety performance measures to drive action and improvements.
• Conducts root cause analyses and implements corrective actions.
• Ensures compliance with safety laws, standards and regulations.
• Provides guidance on compliance, standards, and customer requirements.
• Leads certification initiatives and participates in audits of safety programs.
• Collaborates across the global division to share best practices.
• Manages workers' compensation claims with legal and HSES teams.
• Coordinates and manages site HSES programs and environmental permits.
