Job summary

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) seeks an on-site Human Resources Representative (HCM Analyst) to support employees at the Akron location. You will handle HR actions, recruitment coordination, onboarding, and local engagement while ensuring compliant HR service delivery.

Responsibilities include payroll actions, benefits guidance, timekeeping, and HR systems support, plus collaboration with Labor Relations and Workforce Administration as needed.

Qualifications

• 24 months experience in human resources.
• Undergraduate core program in human resources, business, or public administration.
• 12 months experience as a Human Capital Management Associate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite HR contact for all employees at the Akron facility, advising on HR policies, leave administration, benefits navigation, timekeeping, and HR systems.
• Process personnel actions, ePAR transactions, and related documentation.
• Coordinate recruitment, advertise vacancies, screen applications, and support onsite and virtual interviews.
• Onboard new employees, collect documentation, conduct background checks, and prepare selection packages.
• Manage local onboarding logistics, including workspace readiness, badge issuance, IT access, and welcoming new hires.
• Respond to inquiries from employees and the public, providing early assistance and routing complex matters as needed.
• Maintain HR records and support OAKS data entry; assist on special projects and cross‑team initiatives.
