Job summary

D&H Distributing, a 100+ year old employee-owned technology distributor, is seeking an experienced HR Manager at our Harrisburg, PA Distribution Center. This onsite role requires hands-on engagement with employee relations, retention, and a strong focus on safety and policy adherence within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Human Resource generalist or management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
• Experience managing leaves including FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation processes.
• Ability to coach employees and management through complex issues.
• Strong communication skills with internal departments and external customers.
• Ability to apply policies and procedures consistently under pressure.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Ability to perform clerical and administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with timekeeping systems (TCP preferred).
• English language proficiency; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle HR within the distribution center including high volume recruitment, engagement, training and development, and new employee orientation.
• Manage benefits, safety in partnership with operations, workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
• Handle employee relations and auditing of timekeeping; drive policy consistency with operations management.
• Partner with operations to implement improvements and ensure alignment with co-ownership goals.
