Job summary

D&H Distributing Co. in Harrisburg is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the assigned warehouse departments, including scheduling, staffing, workload balancing, and ensuring performance and safety standards are met.

You will coach and develop staff, monitor KPIs, coordinate with procurement and logistics, and drive continuous improvement through accurate receiving, inventory control, and on-time fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in distribution or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Knowledge of WMS and tracking performance standards.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and multiple departments.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
• Maintains a neat, safe, and organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all department logistics including receiving, unloading, and inventory processing.
• Coordinate daily schedules with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
• Manage and lead teams, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure safety.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through documentation and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with warehouse and inventory control teams to reduce discrepancies and optimize space.
• Monitor KPIs and generate reports to drive continuous improvement.
• Enforce company policies, regulations, and safety standards.
• Train, mentor, and develop staff.
• Troubleshoot issues such as delays, damage claims, and variances.
• Support cross-functional initiatives across procurement and planning.
