Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Greeley, CO is seeking a Human Resource Generalist for an onsite role. You will support managers, employees, and applicants with HR processes, HR operations, compliance documentation, and reporting, while maintaining accurate HRIS records.

Under HR leadership, you will assist with employee relations, onboarding, recruitment coordination, and compliance workflows, support HR reporting cadence, and help deliver trainings to strengthen HR capability across the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of job-related experience as a talent acquisition/recruiting professional, human resources specialist, or human resources generalist
• Experience building compliance programs and administering compliance functions
• Knowledge of state and federal laws including COBRA, FLSA, ACA, ADA, OFCCP, ERISA, FMLA, and HIPPA
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Ability to be proactive and work with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and presentation skills for potentially controversial issues
• Experience collaborating with hiring managers
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Education: Master’s degree; preferred PHR or SHRM-CP

Responsibilities

• Provide technical HR assistance across employee relations, onboarding support, recruitment coordination, and compliance workflows
• Support HR reporting cadence, standardized processes, and regional talent acquisition efforts
• Maintain HRIS records and ensure accuracy for personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, and performance data
• Audit UKG capabilities for accuracy and functionality
• Deliver trainings on HR, management, and leadership topics
