Job summary

Southern States, LLC in Georgia seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and operational HR support in a unionized manufacturing setting. This onsite role manages employee data, onboarding, payroll-related tasks, and compliance for hourly and salaried staff.

You will partner with HR leadership, support union processes and reporting, and help maintain a compliant, efficient HR function. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of HR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience supporting onboarding, HR administration, payroll processes, and employee relations.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to HR Manager and HR department.
• Maintain employee records, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Process status changes, promotions, transfers, wage changes, and terminations.
• Serve as HR contact for policies, payroll, benefits, attendance, and workplace concerns.
• Coordinate onboarding activities, orientations, and facility access.
• Assist with FMLA, STD/LTD, unemployment, workers’ compensation, and HR audits.
• Support union-related processes, shift bids, seniority movements, and overtime tracking.
• Prepare reports and metrics for weekly HR/Manufacturing meetings.
