Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks an HPC Technical Consultant for an onsite role in Los Alamos, NM. You will support operations and hardware maintenance for HPC systems, troubleshoot server hardware, and perform basic Linux administration.

US citizenship and a Q clearance are required. The role is on-site five days a week with possible on-call duties; strong tool-handling experience and familiarity with Windows/macOS productivity software are expected.

Qualifications

• Q Clearance required (US)
• US Citizenship required
• On-site 5 days/week in Los Alamos, NM
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs individually and 75 lbs with assistance
• Experience with server hardware, components, and tools
• Familiarity with Windows/macOS productivity tools (Slack, SharePoint, Office)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain health of HPC compute, network, and storage systems
• Troubleshoot and repair server hardware in HPC environments
• Perform basic Linux administration tasks as needed
• Create, monitor, update, and close support tickets
• Perform component replacements using spares and manage cabling
• Document repairs and workflows, read system diagrams
• Collaborate via email, Teams, Slack, and in-person
• Participate in 24x7 on-call schedule
• Maintain organized tools and workspace
