Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Senior Technical Site Lead to support LANL HPC/AI environments. The role combines hands-on Linux administration with hardware engineering leadership, incident coordination, and disciplined service delivery in a mission-critical setting.

This onsite position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance. Expect weekday on-site work in Los Alamos, NM and occasional extended hours for maintenance and major incidents.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
• Must work onsite M-F in Los Alamos, New Mexico; this is not remote or hybrid.
• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant technical experience, or an associate or bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting complex electronic systems, enterprise server hardware, and related data center infrastructure.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting HPC systems, large-scale Linux clusters, or similar compute environments.
• 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, or task direction for a multidisciplinary technical team.
• 3+ years of hands-on Linux system administration with RHEL/SUSE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and guidance to onsite hardware engineers, Linux admins, software analysts, and remote resources.
• Coordinate maintenance, escalations, and incidents to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Lead on-site technical execution, maintenance planning, and change-control compliant work.
• Maintain system health visibility, action ownership, and timely escalation when needed.
• Contribute to site onboarding, documentation, and knowledge sharing for HPC/AI platforms.
