Job summary

AMA Consulting Group is hiring a Housing Supervisor for the Chicago Housing Authority West Office to lead onsite customer interactions, guide program participants and landlords, and ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have HCV experience, supervisory background, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least one year of Housing Choice Voucher Program experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience in affordable housing.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations and tenant/landlord requirements.
• Experience managing customer concerns, competing priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and staff coaching skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and housing program software.
• The ability to work onsite in a busy, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the customer experience and serve as AMA’s onsite contact for participants, landlords, and visitors.
• Keep office operations moving by overseeing daily activity, queues, and deadlines; resolve bottlenecks.
• Coach and support your team with training, workload management, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with HCV regulations and internal standards; document escalations and maintain data integrity.
• Oversee daily office activity, customer flow, and deadlines.
• Identify and address bottlenecks that delay service or case completion.
• Coordinate with leadership and client representatives on service needs and risks.
• Coach and mentor staff, manage workloads, and ensure data integrity.
