Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate to guide uninsured hospital patients through financial assistance programs, meeting them bedside to assess eligibility and assist with applications.

This full-time, onsite role in Denison, TX requires empathy, clear communication, meticulous documentation, and seamless collaboration with hospital staff; schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability to changing processes and government programs.
• Proficient experience with state and federal programs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsabilités

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal/state programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain and manage the assigned work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
• Answer calls and track paperwork for enrollment and renewal of Medicaid patients.
• Maintain timely contact with applicants and government agencies by phone or queue guidelines.
• Assist with gathering reports and arranging transportation if needed.
• Conduct in-person visits to acquire documentation.
• Inform clients of approvals/denials in a timely manner.
• Attend ongoing required training on rules and regulations.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
