Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Site Superintendent in community home construction and customer service. The role includes coordinating subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, managing costs, and ensuring safety.

Responsibilities also cover inspections, homeowner walkthroughs, schedule adherence, and compliance with company policies. The candidate should be able to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months to two years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license; willing to drive among sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and construction documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes daily for quality and adherence to plans and schedule.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walk-through and closing.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and ensure satisfaction.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors and safety compliance.
• Enforce site safety program and cleanliness standards.
• Manage construction materials to prevent damage and theft.
• Support construction schedule and maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Provide superior customer service throughout construction.
