Job summary

Aspen Public Schools Inc is seeking an On-Site Substitute Teacher to ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain a safe classroom, manage behavior, and support students and staff across multiple classrooms.

The role requires a substitute permit/credential, a related bachelor's degree, and CBEST, with strong communication and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Substitute Teaching Permit or Teaching Credential.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.
• CBEST.
• Background Check through Aspen Public Schools.
• Resume.
• 2 Letters of Reference.
• Previous experience working with high school students preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans or assignments provided by the absent teacher.
