Job summary

TEKsystems in Rocklin, CA is seeking a Contract Help Desk Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for information systems user problems, focusing on Point of Sale and End-User Support across field offices and distribution centers nationwide.

You will perform first-level troubleshooting, document issues and resolutions, and escalate to EHD management as needed. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential in this fast-paced, onsite role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical or computer related field, or equivalent related experience.
• 2-5 years of related work experience.
• Help desk or customer support environment supporting hardware, software and PC tools.
• Problem management and knowledge base tools.
• Retail POS systems experience preferred.
• Strong communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Acts as first point of contact for information systems user problems.
• Performs first-level core troubleshooting on hardware/software issues.
• Documents user problems and resolutions for future reference.
