Job summary

Capitol Cardiology is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support across IT functions in our Greenbelt, MD offices. You will manage desktops, servers, networks, and telephony, ensuring smooth operation of systems in a healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT support, familiarity with healthcare IT (NextGen EMR preferred), strong problem-solving, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar IT support role.
• Experience configuring, imaging, and troubleshooting laptops/desktops.
• Experience with basic server setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting various business applications.
• Understanding of telephony systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain tech to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain desktop and laptop computers.
• Setup, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
• Assist with configuration and maintenance of network devices; troubleshoot connectivity.
• Install, configure, and support various business applications.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of phone systems (VoIP/SIP) and IVR.
• Create and maintain accurate IT documentation.
• Provide help desk support via phone, email, and in-person.
• Provide Level 1 EMR support; NextGen experience is preferred.
• Travel between Capitol Cardiology offices as needed.
