Job summary

Medcor is seeking a full-time Onsite Health Technician in DeKalb, IL to provide first aid, injury care, and health screening within an employer-based clinic. You’ll work a four-day schedule (Wed–Sat), delivering clinical care with protocol-driven treatment and timely coordination with outside providers.

The role supports workplace health and wellness, patient care, and return-to-work programs, using EMR systems to document care.

Qualifications

• Current EMT, Paramedic, or LPN licensure/certification, as applicable.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfortable working independently in an onsite clinic with remote clinical and operational support.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to document care using electronic medical records.
• Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound emergency response bag.
• A positive, professional attitude and a genuine passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses following Medcor's evidence-based care protocols.
• Respond to workplace medical situations and provide appropriate clinical care.
• Support workers' compensation case management, return-to-work programs, and treatment plan monitoring.
• Coordinate care and follow-up with outside medical providers when necessary.
• Manage daily onsite clinic operations, including medical supplies, documentation, and compliance processes.
• Perform pre-employment and post-offer health screenings as needed.
• Support employee health, safety, and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Work closely with the client's Safety and Human Resources teams to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
• Build positive relationships with employees, client leadership, and Medcor's clinical and operational teams.
• Provide excellent patient care and customer service while serving as a trusted onsite healthcare resource.
