Job summary

Medcor is seeking a PRN EMT to serve as an Onsite Health Technician at construction-site clinics across Dekalb, Hoffman Estates, Elk Grove, and Minooka, IL. Shifts vary by site, averaging 6:00am–5:30pm, Mon–Sat.

Requires licensure, CPR/BLS, and ability to lift 50 lb; EMR experience preferred. The role emphasizes patient care, workers’ comp case management, RTW program facilitation, and collaboration with medical/operational leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have valid professional licensure for EMT position.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, outgoing personality and willingness to go above and beyond.
• Experience with EMR software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic.
• Provide superior customer service to clients and employees.
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses per Medcor protocols.
• Build and maintain internal team relationships.
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
• Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
• Document care using EMR and other tools.
• Manage casework and RTW processes as needed.
• Maintain medical charts and OSHA records.
